As senior manager of production and editorial, I headed the transition of Aperture, safeguarding the integrity of this successful and brainy show. I was also the team lead on
What If Kids. This series features Cosmo, a 3D animated robot from another planet, that takes young viewers on a journey of scientific discovery. Each episode is curricula-based (grades 1 to 4), covering biology, structures and mechanisms, matter and energy, and Earth and space science. Cosmo is learning with the help of real kids that are the experts in each field. At the end of each video, Cosmo shares fun exercises kids can demonstrate to their families using common objects found around the house.
I've spent over a decade as a science and technology broadcaster at Discovery Channel... creating award-winning content on budget and on time, across media platforms... developing stories that inspire, engage and entertain.

Before Discovery, I was a senior producer at the Weather Network - working with on-air talent, crew, meteorologists and planetary scientists. On the afternoon of hurricane Sandy, on Saturday October 27, we clocked 12 million viewers and 15 million viewers on that Sunday. The storm made landfall on Monday the 29th and it was one of the deadliest and most destructive, especially for New Jersey. In New York City it flooded streets, tunnels and subway lines and cut power. Those audience numbers are an outstanding achievement in Canadian television - and the use of social media was key.

Prior to this, I was a senior producer at the Royal Ontario Museum, creating audio and video content for new exhibits, galleries and traveling exhibitions. I worked closely with curators, and educators with the sole purpose of captivating the imagination of every visitor, from octogenarian to 5 year old.

Regardless of my task or assignment, everything is fuelled by integrity, experience and creativity.
